Since

2013

It began with a new build.

When Chevron revealed plans to relocate to a 22-storey workplace known as 1TE (One the Esplanade), complete with a dedicated foyer, full-scale conference centre and a host of facilities, they needed one provider to create a whole new scope of service offerings that delivered a next-level daily experience for their team. We gladly stepped up to the plate.

Mission, activate.

At Chevron, human experience takes top priority. At BrewHub, people are the cornerstone of everything we do. Together, we dreamt up a vision for a space brimming with human energy, that was egaging, that built connection and that was driven by passionate people focused on bringing the Chevron workplace to life. Underpinning this: a serious sustainability commitment incorporating WELL building standards and adherence to a Green Star energy rating.

“No matter where you are in the Chevron building, you will run into a BrewHub member who can assist you.”

Challenges? Oh, there were challenges.

For starters, we needed more people and services to achieve this mission.

Chevron had long enjoyed our coffee machines, in-house roasted beans, water points, super responsive valet services and speedy tech support. The company also engaged our catering and reception services in two previous buildings. But to create this level of experience BrewHub needed to expand our staff and offerings, creating conference services and instilling a clockwork synergy in our people, products and services.

We had one shot to get it right.

There wasn’t the luxury of trial and error with deliverables of this magnitude. We knew we had to curate the right services and multiply our team with the right people so we could deliver the kind of seamless and positive experience Chevron desired.

We needed to adhere to WELL building standards and Green Star ratings.

As well as maximising operations functionality, we had to ensure the built environment had a commitment to air and water quality, could help fuel bodies and encourage movement, and could keep people connected and performing optimally – all while working within design aesthetics.

But we found the solutions.

We brought in the right Captain to steer the ship.

We brought in a transition manager to begin Chevron’s transition journey in May 2022. Our TM engaged with Chevron, key stakeholders, the BrewHub team and the wider project team to connect the many dots. Armed with this knowledge, we were able to curate and build the perfect scope of services needed to meet the mission.

We built the right team at the right time.

Attentive. Meticulous. Personable. We needed to initially recruit over 20 new people to create Chevron’s experience-focused workplace, but they couldn’t be just anyone. Leaning into our strong culture, we asked our existing team for referrals and through them, we found our people. We did this early, giving us plenty of time to train them in readiness for the move.

We ticked all the boxes to support a WELL initiative.

This included selecting 41 TopBrewer machines for Chevron, knowing they are made from at least 70% recycled materials. 76 TopWater units were installed to provide still and sparkling water. Nourishment came in the form of fruit baskets and other pantry and snack food, plus nine third-party vending machines managed by us. We also oversaw the installation of over 8000 plants to improve air quality and wellbeing.

We’re really, really proud of the results.

Every day, we keep the Chevron building humming beautifully.

BrewHub has a big presence at Chevron, supplying and managing coffee, water and pantry supplies, and catering, conference and reception services directly. We organise and manage third-party providers for the supply of plants, pest control, vending and first-aid. Mailroom services at 1TE (Chevron’s new home) are also provided by BrewHub. Every day, we make sure our services enhance the lives of those at Chevron.

Our team has truly become part of the Chevron community.

Our people have become a source of valued knowledge in the Chevron building. With a team of 45+ onsite every day, including a dedicated Chevron Services Manager, there’s a BrewHub member around every corner to assist. We’re renowned for taking everything in our stride, supporting everyone and leaving no stone unturned in finding the best solution for people.

We continue to strengthen our partnership through strong connections.

While we’re proud of what we’ve achieved we’ll never rest on our laurels, always looking for new ways to innovate and deliver the mission for Chevron as best we can.

This building is Chevron’s home and we’ve become part of the family. We’re an integral part of what helps this building to run and function.
