For Grace Xu (she/her), her role goes far beyond a good office coffee machine, coffee, tea, sparkling water or a well-stocked staff hub. She is passionate about bringing the best coffee experience to our clients, with determination, drive and the right dose of positivity.
Being inspired to reach new heights
Starting her journey nine years ago as a valet, Grace balanced a full-time job as a Restaurant Manager and casual hours at BrewHub. Her work as a valet was significantly different from her managerial role at the restaurant, but the variety kept Grace’s week interesting.
However, over time, it became clear to Grace’s that her future was meant to be at BrewHub. Soshe sought to carve out a successful career with us, reducing her hours at the restaurant and taking on more at BrewHub
“I knew BrewHub was where I needed to be. The team is amazing and supportive, I was able to reclaim my evenings and weekends, and there was scope for me to be challenged with new responsibilities.”
Grace’s decision to take a leap with BrewHub paid off. Her manager, Amanda Stuurstraat recognised her potential. With Amanda’s help and support, Grace started to explore various roles within BrewHub to find the right fit. She was given the opportunity to see what suited her, while getting the chance to hone skills and gain valuable experience
Taking challenges as opportunities
In 2022, Grace was promoted to the position of Client Service Manager, a role she was well-prepared for due to her years of hands-on experience and dedication within BrewHub. She credits both her success and confidence to Amanda, who believed in her, and helped her ease into her new role.
That, and of course, starting every day with a robust cappuccino, before settling for a flat white in the afternoon – her two mandatory beverages of choice.

Bringing workplaces to life with a positive attitude
Positivity is a driving force for Grace, whether it be hearing feedback about the excellent performance of a coffee machine or stellar service provided by one of our valets. She is delighted when clients ask for her recommendations, seeking her opinion on ways to enhance their workplace experiences.
“A good day at BrewHub for me starts with everyone happy and ready to work. When I receive positive feedback from clients, it makes my day.”
A can-do attitude goes a long way for Grace, and is in fact an asset appreciated by her fellow BrewHubbers. Grace is confident and respected among her team because she strikes a rare balance of being practical and incredibly optimistic.
“One of my greatest strengths is my quick thinking and problem-solving abilities. I think everything through very practically, but I have an immense sense of optimism that everything will always work out in the end.”
A trusted team member with many hidden talents
With a comprehensive understanding of different departments within BrewHub, Grace is able to offer a unique perspective to her clients.
Apart from providing a memorable experience for BrewHub’s array of clients, Grace happens to come with unconventional talents. In fact, her secret superpower lies in her photographic memory. Grace can remember details with remarkable accuracy, recalling events, conversations and even people she encountered years ago. But don’t worry, Grace is also amazing at keeping secrets, so whatever you share with her, it is locked away forever.
“My memory comes in handy when I am remembering small details about our clients. It is really important to me to add that personal touch that enhances their BrewHub experience.”
